[1.1.42] Where to expect last added track?

When I open a project with, let’s say, 100 audio tracks and I want to add audio track number 101.
With the cursor I select track 100 (the bottom one) and click the + button at the top.
I select “audio track”.
Result: track 101 is added with the correct name, but it is placed right below track 1.
Is that on purpose?
I would like to see it appear right below track 100. Now I have to scroll back and drag it down.

Not really a bug, but a design decision that I do not understand.

… thank you for pointing us to that workflow. We’ve added your request with the following rules

  • If track 100 is selected, the new track will be track #101 and added after track #100
  • If track 80 is selected, the new track will be track #101 and added after track #80
  • If no track is selected, the new track will be tack #101 and added after track #100
