This version is super unstable, each time I switch to a different project it crashes.
Sometimes replacing an instrument in a layer or deleting a stack crashes too.

do you have a pattern for us?

  1. Start VL
  2. Select New Project
  3. Load Another Project
  4. … ?

And do you have any crash log for us? You know where you can find it?

You are really using version 1.3.1, not 1.3.0, are you? Because we fixed a related bug, and tested loading many different projects thereafter w/o any problems.

yep, I´m using 1.3.1 and never had that issue before, sorry but I won´t be online for a couple days, I´ll look for crash logs when I come back.

Where do we find crash logs?

OK, on Windows it’s “%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Steinberg\CrashDumps”, but there’s nothing there.

I’m lost. VST Live crashed for you, too? I cannot find any description about your problem in this conversation. Do you have any reproducible steps for us?

Just to clarify, mybe you mean „freeze“ but not „crash“ (as in „bail to desktop“)?

The crash is described here but has been fixed with 1.3.1

With 1.3.0, after the progress bar says “Finish Loading Project …” the application disappeared, no error message, no crashlog, just terminated and returned to the desktop, with no trace of the application task remaining.

I reinstalled 1.3.1 and the issue disappeared.
