1.4.13 - MIDI CC mixing up data for Actions and Shortcuts

Hi! This meight sound confusing for first read but my MIDI automation track zeroes to -inf. my channel but there is not data written to do it so. Additionally when MUTE the MIDI track (that automates my global cello stack) ends my problem.

  • My MIDI CC config for automation:
CC 7 “main volume” is for track volume
CC 21-24 for adjusting SEND 1-4.

There is no CC 7 in MIDI list editor,

but zeroing track fader happens unfortunately.
< nc >-ing “MIDI In” in line#4 “Volume” ends my problem while can’t find CC#7 in MIDI list editor.

narrowing it, it happens only with one specific song only :man_shrugging:
no event for CC#7 but executing… (mute track solves, taking out MIDI input at volume action solves) Any idea?

Not really. But there is also the MIDI Volume of the MIDI track. If this is not set to “NOT SET”, it will also fire some controller #7 data, maybe that is a hint?

save, remove all tracks but this one - still happens? Then Save Archive and let us check.

Dear @musicullum , let me try all you’ve suggested. I’m controlling my cello GBL stack on MixCh1, and have a dedicated MIDI track that contains CC’s within songs for that kind of automation.

But somehow it pulls the GBL cello stack to -inf.

Dear @musicullum , sending via PM.

It looks like you programmed different Actions and Shortcuts in 2 Categories, volume for Mixer Channel 1, and Global Stack 1 volume, which are the same.

Yes, I forgot to remove it after didn’t find practical using my touch-fader controller with VL. While all are for global and thing happens to only 1 song, let me clean/re-check everithing first:)

The fix in 1.4.52 seems to have wiped out the issue
