This is a problem that happens to me from time to time.
I have a project with this (a bar of 1/8 and then a longer bar) :
Cubase 11 Pro crashes (closes) when it reaches the 1/8 bar. (Yesterday the exact same project file was working.)
If I change to this (longer bar before) it works :
