I currently run cubase 10 pro if I upgrade will I be able to just download the 10.5 program without the 20 odd gig of useless to me content
Of course the installer will have everything…
You could ask them to build you a custom download without the content that is useless to you but it might be quicker to just download the full installer.
There is a smaller installer to update from Cubase 10 pro. Download and install that.

Where is that smaller download when I click on upgrade its still 21 gig
This is the file I used to upgrade mine. The update file is 1.4gb (still downloaded the full file too, just to have it).

Well, I stand corrected… Haven’t noticed partial installers like this in the past for new “standalone” versions.
