10.5 minimizes to the desktop when adding a new VST or VSTi. Running windows 10… It’s seemingly random, sometimes causing a drop out as well. Not something I’ve ever encountered before with 10.040.
I’m seeing the same behavior in Cubase 11 on Windows 10. Adding a new instrument using the + track instrument button will bring any open random app or window to the forefront. It will do this until you close all other applications and file manager windows. Dragging and dropping from the media panel doesn’t cause this behavior. Is this a known bug?

Yup, experiencing the same behavior. Other app window just pops up over Cubase.
