13in MBP Core i5, 8 ram runs better in cubase 32bit then 64

I have seen some topics asking to drop 32 bit version of cubase. I have tried running same project on both version (x64 x x86) and for me the 32 bit version uses less CPU then 64 bit version. Is there something wrong? this shouldn’t happen?

Thank you for any tip

Yes something is seriously wrong if that happens with your setup.
Native x64bit usually takes less CPU + stability increase. Even old XP32bit programs runs faster and more stable on Windows 7 x64/Windows 8 x64 VS on XP32 itself.

What I think is your main problem is that you use a 32bit plugin in “bit-bridge” in Cubase x64 causing higher abnormal CPU in use in Cubase. Use only x64bit plugins…

thank you! well i have monitored the machine and the bridge does not take all that much of the CPU or ram by it self! maybe each instance of each 32 bit plugin creates more Hunger instance when using the bridge and counting to cubase Hunger ? i will test with just 64 bit plugins and see the results.

Great!
Looking forward to hear how everything turned out.
