15.0.30 is out

Available from Steinberg Downloads.

I’ve installed it. It’s running, but I have no idea what the changes are.

It’s there.
Read the page.

Found it. Looks like a nice bunch of fixes.

Nuendo 15 Release Notes

Looks like a nice set of changes and will check it out tonight, I hope the PLE bugs get addressed soon.

Wow! that’s a lot of very important fixes!

I know @MattiasNYC will specially like at least one of them!

ARA2 is still broken, unfortunately. Let’s hope for the next one.

Kudos to the Nuendo team for this!

I’m actually excited to see Mattia’s reaction lol

Good to see a good handful of fixes here…after having waited and watched it might soon be time to upgrade from 14 to 15!

The release notes are on the same page they always are, just updated up at the top of the page.

You will certainly appreciate the stability fixes!

How is that when some things work and others don’t e.g., why would the Melodyne plug-in, work when others don’t?

I have no idea… But while we’re at it:

Can you work on a whole project with melodyne without having to make permanent as you go?

When you have clip gain in an event and you edit it in ARA is the clip gain doubled while ARA is active?

Do get huge POPs at the beginning and end of events if ARA is active, specially if you have large clip gain being applied?

When you “make permanent” is the clip gain then baked into the file?

Do you have tracks that get laggy editing when you have ARA open in any event?

Hi,

I haven’t tried many ARA plug-in’s, only the DreamTonics offering, and I quickly changed to VST only and recorded the output, as I do not need to drag audio to and from the project page but of course I am interested since as of now I don’t have a powerful enough system and the implementation appears to be in its’ infancy in any case.

If the problems are as you describe then surely, those issues would be present across all ARA enabled plug-in’s, as well as some simply not working.

Oh I get it, sorry. I understood as if you were saying that you use Melodyne without problems in ARA, so that is why I asked you about those points, cause those are my main issues when using both Spectralayers and Auto Align Post 2. I would love to know that Melodyne doesn’t have the same issues, cause that would at least narrow it down somewhat.

I used to think the problems were inherent to the general development state of the protocol itself, but another day a user told me he uses several ARA programs in other DAWs without the issues we see in Cubendo, so there’s that.

The predecessor, was ReWire, and unfortunately, that was a complete and utter disappointment.

At least, with ARA, there is an allocation of resources, towards the goal of integration into the DAW, but it must be remembered, that as the overseer of the VST Specification, Steinberg won’t alow usage of their “protocol”, inside a wrapper, if it can’t actually work.
