15 Pro for Mac OS 26?

Is Cubase 15 Pro fine to run on Mac OS 15. I do audio for television and currently have super stable rig. Dont need OS 26 but……..the new compressor that operates like VOCAL RIDER which I have, would be nice to have in Cubase. Should I upgrade Cubase 15 because it will be stable on OS 15, then get OS 26 when 15 & 26 work with no issues.

your thoughts

yeah man perfect on sequoia here

no way im gonna upgrade macos

a lot of people keep older os, much more stable the then upgrading to latest and “greatest”. Apple has a notorious history of breaking things in the last years

only thing that could be important to upgrade for is AI stuff, but python libs get updated anyway

i really dont know what could be a ligitimate reason to upgrade for music production over Sequoia, let me know if you have any

I’m using Cubase on M1 Tahoe without any noticeable problems. But I can suggest you checking your plugins before updating. Previously I had issues with some old vst synths compatibility.

I have vocal rider but a 30 min Spanish show I do has enormous dynamics, the yell and laugh so loud, it’s hard to keep the levels consistent. Not that Untral shaper is the new king on the block. I am hoping it can keep the level at whatever you set the output to.

cant you do this with a normal limiter?

with “show” you mean theater show?

in case of theater: i used a Behrigher Ultra Maximizer for that. (hardware limiter, set and forget)

i guess you need something that keeps the volume from peaking, without too much “squashed sound”? you can do this with any compressor almost, but i would use a limiter.
