Help please: I have 4 Songs that use Waves Harmony. 3 of them take MIDI from vMIDI1 which is fed by a keyboard, the 4th one is fed from a MIDI track on vMIDI2.
The 4th one (Starting Over) always shows MIDI nc in the VST after the project loads, no matter how many times I reset it and save. I also have trouble setting the MIDI input - I have to select another device before it will let me select the one I want.

How so? Except for the “Devices/Virtual MIDI Keyboard”, there is no direct connection from external ports to Virtul MIDI “cables” (if that is what you mean by “vMIDI” in the first place).
Oh I see you posted a project, will check.
It’s not external: MIDI Track → Virtual MIDI 2 —> Waves Harmony insert in Stack.
Song 17 is “Starting over”, and the track in question is “Harmony”?
What is missing, Input or Output? Output shows “MidiHarmonise” just fine here.
The VST has a drop down for MIDI input (press e on the insert in the stack) which is not being saved. I have to reset it every time I load the project.
… there was an internal wrong state saved for the MIDI Input of those Plug-Ins. Sorry. We’ve fixed. Please re-try with the next Pre-Release. If you load your project, the input will be (still) "< nc >. But now you are able to choose your MIDI Input. Save project and reload it again. Is it fine now? Please keep us in the loop.
/Michael.
