I have seen that since the version 2.1.18 there is a function “Keep Global Channels alive while Song Switch” and I just want to ask if this enables also somehow the seamless transition of a backing track while song switch?

Hi! That polishing keeps GLOBAL STACKS audio processing un-interrupted while changing songs. Therefore you can keep singing, playing, whatever is goes through the GlobalStack during song change to bridge-between-two-songs. (But when your song/Backing track ends and VL needs to stop playing, load and prebuffer next song’s files, start new song. Currently that needs time to make this happen)

I thought it could be a solution to have like a “global Track” which is just for the transition between Songs that is always alive.
So let´s wait until we see the final solution from Steinberg-Team 
It’s not an easy trick to do, need to be honest
