[2.1.29] Cannot downgrade (solved)

Upgraded to 2.1.29 and observed some occasional problems when switching songs (VST Live often getting stuck, had to kill it), did not have these problems before, so I wanted to downgrade to 2.1.28 (or 2.1.27 as I was not sure if I skipped 2.1.28).

Installers for .27 and .28 worked fine without errors reported. However, after installing any of these versions VST Live is still reporting the version “2.1.29.263” both at launch and when checking the “About” screen.

How can I downgrade? BTW, this is on MacOS 15.2.

Regards,
Chris

Hi! Drop VSTLive app to recycle bin first (restart… just in case…), install 2.1.28

does it working now?

Thanks, that worked. After testing that the problem was not present in 2.1.28, I tried another upgrade to 2.1.29. This time everything seems to work fine so far).

So maybe something in the installation was messed up and deleting the app instead of up/downgrading cleaned it up.
