I finally managed to create a small project that reproduces a very annoying issue, which I’m encountering in my “official” projects with the latest pre-releases, in the use of the Mute and Solo functions of the Mixer channels.
Once the project is started, proceed with starting the execution of the audio tracks.
During the execution of the audio tracks, keeping the OUT 1 channel in Mute (but it would also happen without the mute of the channel), try to put in Mute or in Solo one of the Group 1 or Group 2 channels: what happens seems to be a sort of freeze of the last audio sample coming from the muted channel mixed with the unmuted channel.
Note that if the test is performed with the OUT 1 channel active (channel connected to the MAIN audio output) and OUT 2 muted (channel connected to the MONITOR audio output), the mixer behavior is error-free.
Also note that I performed the test on different audio cards, in the Windows OS environment, both on the same PC and on different PCs.
Hoping the bug is reproducible also thanks to my explanation, I await your feedback.
Hi @Spork ! Can you test after appying the fix if the frozen-buffer issue solved too at a specific song of mine:
“A csitári “. Whatever playlist I put together, Buzz appears at stepping to any next song for that one above. (Existed in december too, even today and a few days ago…)
So again, when leaving song “A csitári”
I tested the fix released with version 2.1.33, covering several scenarios in using the Mute and Solo features of the Mixer channels and I think it’s safe to say that the issue is solved.
