Guys, I feel LAME, what am I doing wrong?
LAYER loaded with HALionSonic
Connections are set (both MIDI and AUDIO)
MIDI monitor shows signal
HALionSonic processing sound with mouse-keyboard-clicking
No sound when hitting my MIDI keyboard.
what did I forget to set?
Any hints highly appreciated!

What does the MIDI tab in Halion look like?

It’s working fine here, so something at your end. Is this a new project? If so do you have an existing one to try? - I admit I just loaded up an existing project and pressed some keys so I wonder if it’s an issue with new projects.
Also - did you try virtual MIDI instead?

opening HALionSonic standalone, same MIDI keyboard start “plucking” keys immediately.
I don’t see anything out of place there.
now comes the question:

not working with 2.1.4

Interesting that you had no visual indication of the “re-wire”. At least mine showed me what it had done once I started looking.
Unfortunately we never see what other ports may eventually be connected. We support multiple ports now so probably something goes wrong there. Maybe set to and then to the desired port?
I see the port you select but not the multi-selection dialog.
Ohh, I will re-record when get to my computer again. (No multiple ports were selected by myself)

Dear @musicullum , get back to computer… oh gosh it seems, when reply via new-forum-entry email notification it goes as public post.
New screen rec. Let me know if there is still some part that can not be seen in my video but might help with trouble shooting!
ps: MIDI Mon shows NO activity when select rtpMIDI for listening
