Hi, i can reproduce a crash to desktop as follows:
1- new project
2- create 2 songs
3- song 1: create folder
4 - create audio track
5- move audio track inside folder (no crash if outsid folder)
6 - set an input connection to the audio track (no input set = no crash)
7- turn on monitor on the channel or on the folder (no moniotr on, no crash)
8 - select folder and copy
9 - select song 2 and paste ==> crash to desktop

Also tried it exactly like you did, step by step, and also in other combinations, no crash (2.1.7)
Tried in 2.1.7 (now reverted to 2.1.5 for other reasons) and no crash … 
Maybe was something related asio driver or stacks input not always working as state in the changelog and now it does not appear in 2.1.7?
