2.2.10

Hi everyone,
After updating to the latest version of VST Live (version 2.2.10), I’ve noticed an issue with the metronome in time signatures with an 8 denominator, like 6/8. It only clicks on beats 1, 3, and 5 (every other beat) instead of all 6 beats. This doesn’t happen in time signatures with a 4 denominator (e.g., 4/4), where it works fine. Has anyone else experienced this after the recent update? Any fixes or workarounds?

Thanks!

2.2.13
but probably we will see an awesome version today (2.2.14?)

So first give a try with …

… yes, @fkalmus is right. The metronome was wrong with 6/8. Please update to the latest Pre-Release. It’s already fixed. We’ll try to release every Friday a new Pre-Release. And from time to time we’ll push a Version to the “Steinberg Download Assistant”.

Let us know if the Metronome is working correctly again. Thank you,
Michael.

Hi, I’ve never had anything like this before. The VST plugin Serum 2 is displayed in a mirrored format.

… ui! We’ll check,
Michael.

… it’s fixed. Please re-check it with the next Pre-Release 2.2.16. If you don’t know about it? Every Friday we do release a new Pre-Release with bug-fixes, workflow improvement and features. Please come back on Friday to get more details.

See you and thank you for your report,
Michael.

Hi @Spork,

do you know if any updates or corrections are planned for the signature track and its editing?

the new version fixes the */8 bug, but importing a new signature track within the same song is extremely complicated, if not impossible.

I’ve had to redo my entire signature track and the current bug is that even if you add a new marker on a bar, for example bar 44, there’s a good chance that the 44 will be placed after the next marker, for example 50, so that the next marker won’t be read unless you delete the markers that follow it until you’re back in the correct chronological order.

Add to this the fact that we can’t copy/paste, which makes the operation extremely tedious, given that we can’t import it from cubase, where it’s much simpler to do so.

Thanks a lot for your answer.

Hi @Folelser,

… not sure what you mean exactly. Can you give me some more hints? Importing from what?

… sorry, can you give me some hints how I can reproduce this problem? Something like

  1. Start VL, New Project
  2. Select TRACKS and add a Signature Track
  3. Default is 4/4 a Bar 1.

… and now?

… it’s on our list.

… you can export a Cubase project and import it to VST Live.

See you,
Michael.
