[2.2.12] Active Cycle getting disabled when setting it on new area

This is the cycle mark already set and its enabled.

I select the 2nd midi part on track M3 Drum and pressed the P key on keyboard and the cycle selection is appearing correctly on the top area, but its in grey color, its disabled now. I assume it should stay enabled since I didn’t press the active cycle button below to disable it.

Do you have flexloops enabled?

Flexloop is not enabled.

Cannot reproduce that. It does not turn off cycle.

  • new project
  • create midi track, add clip, edit in some notes
  • select clip, press “p”, cycle set to clip boundaries and stays active.
Tried various things, changing cycle, active or not, works fine.
Easiest would be if you send us your project, just the .vlprj file will do.

I have not tried on a new project.
Creating a new project with the settings I have in my test project is very time consuming, so always i use the test project.
Will try on new one and see.

Hi @musicullum ,
seems I can repro what @tmat experiencing:

Cycle is ACTIVE
Selecting another clip and hit “P”
Range re-selected, but
Cycle is disabled

Quickly re-tested with OSX 2.2.14 and behaviour is the same as @tmat 's problem.
But good news @tmat  seems your problem will be solved with the next update 2.2.15
