[2.2.2] Summary of bugs related to new MP update

After a careful review, attached you can find my usual big project (only vlprj file that you can use with the same assets alrready sent, i added some other songs but you still can use to test it even if som media will be offline).

what i found: if you open the file in 2.2.2 change something, add song, import media project, move some routing, then save and close vst, when you reopen the file:

IF MP audio ON:

  • song change not freeze
  • song add or remove from current playlist via setlist dialogue or via + - buttons freeze for few seconds before executing command.
  • If you have STACKS connected with tracks in the song, if you switch off ALL monitornig buttons (with playback on monitoring off in preferences), including monitor buttons on other tracks not related to stacks, audio crackles. If you have at least one monitor button on , even if it’s on an empty track routd to song group, son no stacks involved, audio no crackles.

With MP audio OFF:

  • Switching song freeze audio buffer and pc for like 10 15 seconds then unfreeze.
  • audio is fine
  • adding removing song in active playlist is fine both with + - buttons and in setlists dialogue.

hope it helps narrowing the problems.

I’ll add that with MP ON, in a 3 hours mixing/refining section yesterday, I experienced 3 times a brief transport freeze during normal playback with audio buffer freeze and relative noise , for a fraction of a second. No need to say that if it happens live we’re screwed out of click from backing tracks :rofl::scream:
