I tested 2.2.49 this morning and I have sound on first start! No Problem.
hi @sergeantt67 as mentioned in new topic (and all who still experiencing such occasionally with 2.2.49 @Antric @birdmug @kurtforce1991 @Shiroryu @SDerMan maybe? ).
can you try out the same project, same everything, repeated test cycles (to be sure about) with v2.2.(0) just really for crosscheck (quick uninstall current and downgrade. Only with v2.2, nothing else version)

I’ll check it within an hour and write back with the results.
Sorry for the delay in replying, I had to reinstall Windows.
The test results with the VST_Live_2.2 version are as follows:
There is sound, but when multiprocessor processing is enabled, a crackling sound appears, without it everything is clean and this is despite the fact that I have an R9 5950x with 16 cores and 32 threads
Now please ignore multiprocessing for now, and just focus on You Have sound 100% surely with all, repeated starts, right?
There is sound, I confirm! in VST_Live_2.2
And even after closing the program continues to hang in the task manager in background processes
Now just let’s focus on that fact to help developers.
And for you my tip: until they find the solution for occasional noSound , use ResetAudio under DEVICES dopdown to get your audio working
Yes, I’m not in a hurry, let them look for the reason and do it) I’ll just roll back to the previous version, I didn’t have any problems with the sound in it
I think use 2.2.49. I find it very very good. If you experience noSound at start, just reset audio for now.
I agree that 2.2.49 is better optimized than previous versions, this can be seen even from the performance indicator
