2.2.49 still getting random crash with mega noise out front

Similar to that I was experiencing before, randomly in a song it will throw out a horrific noise out front for a few seconds, then die. No CPU increase. This time however it did create a crash dump!

VST Live Version 2.2.49 2025.7.6 11.30.20.907.dmp (2.1 MB)

And again

VST Live Version 2.2.49 2025.7.6 11.37.41.391.dmp (2.6 MB)

And a third time when I kicked of the video media module but no crash dump

Can you record the noise somehow? Video maybe? Is it like something loud“zzzzzzzzzz”? How long does the sound takes? When does the sound stops?

… it’s crashing in the “Media Module” with a video file. Is that Module loaded in a global Part?

… what happens if you load another video file?

Thank you,
Michael.

Yes its a global media module that I have a 6 minute background video of the band logo with sparkles and such cycling throughout the set. Is that what’s doing it?

I did notice this time when it crashed I had a video ‘track’ that was muted (as I use it for other bands with a different video) but it would occasionally pop up with frames from the muted video before it crashed.

Ill load a different video into the module see if it changes

In fact, can reproduce on this track pretty much every time.

Put in a different video cycling in the global media player - still crashes out and creates no crash dump. I filmed it here:

We think we found the cause, only happens with Global Player.
Fixed with the next version, thanks for reporting!
