[2.2.72.482] Long project loading time

What was changed in the project loading procedure?
The update VST Live Version 2.2.72.482 has triple the project loading time compared to Version 2.2.71.
For 120 songs, Version 2.2.71 needed about 1 minute on Win 11 SSD.
Version 2.2.72.482 requires more than 4:30 minutes for the same project.
I installed VST Live Version 2.2.71, and the loading time is back to 1 minute.

Sorry, bu I cannot confirm this behaviour.
I have about 90 Songs in my project and Version 2.2.71. loads it from my SSD/Win11 in seconds.

Version 2.2.71 loads very quickly for me (1 minute on Win 10/Win11 with SSD). That’s OK.

I am referring to version 2.2.72 from yesterday, Friday, October 17, 2025.
This version loads the same project in 4 minutes and 30 seconds on Windows 11 SSD.

However, I will test version 2.2.72 on my stage computer (Win10 with SSD) today and report back here.

Hi,
I am very sorry but I wrote the wrong Version Number - I am referencing to the Friday Version 2.2.72!!! I have no problems with this version on 2 different Win11 Computer.

It has happened to me as well, with all the many version numbers. :wink:I’m glad it works for you. Thanks for the correction.
I installed version 2.2.72 on my Windows 10 stage computer and loaded a project with 163 songs. Loading the project took 04:49:24 according to the stopwatch.

The loading process also sometimes pauses for a while before continuing.

Version 2.2.71 takes 00:47:63 for the same project. Version 2.2.72 is unusable for me in this state.

Will check. Do you have a lot of MIDI data in your Songs?

No. To my knowledge, no MIDI files are included. However, each song has 8 audio stems and a maximum of 4 MIDI tracks, lyrics, and video track.
Since you mentioned MIDI files, I have a test project that contains 12 MIDI files.
Here, the loading process takes 3 minutes.

The problem occurs when a lot of midi notes are present. We could fix it for the next version, thanks for helping!

I would like to confirm that the problem of long loading times in VST Live version 2.2.73.485 has been fixed.

When loading the project for the first time with 167 songs, each with 8 audio tracks and 4 MIDI control tracks, the new version took about 1 minute.

Re-loading speeds up the loading process to 28 seconds.
