Today I spent all day essentially re-doing all of the songs in a VST Live project. The Project now, which was made on my PC, is as clean as can be. However, opening, the same project on my tablet, gives the same poor results as before, i.e. parts are all screwed up, and pretty much all MIDI and Audio that was exported from Cubase shows up as Media offline.
Now, the way that my computer and tablet talk to each other is through a NAS. I haven’t had any other issues with any other programs (Cubase for example) but VST Live does not know what to do to open the project correctly. It’s literally the same project, with the same files, same everything, but somehow it does not understand how to open the same project file correctly on another system.
I figured okay, maybe I can bypass the NAS and just put the files on a stick and take them to the tablet, but that gave the same problems.
Creating a new project on my tablet and adding the songs in there displays the songs correctly, but who in the world is interested in re-doing their project again just so that it works on another machine?
Let’s get this fixed please, because now I will HAVE to remake the entire damn project on my tablet because I need it for rehearsals this week and a VST Live project with no usable songs doesn’t do anyone any good. My previous comment still stands, VST Live is buggy as hell.
Need to use “Save Archive” for transfering your project. Meanwhile I don’t clearly get the point, as we usually say “tablet” for iPadOS, same with Android, etc… no?
Anyways “Save Archive” between VSTLive running computers. That will pack your files to one folder-structure for transfering.
