Hi! How can I write these two independent time signatures, 2/2 and 6/4, aligned? It’s from Britten’s Sea Interludes.
The only solution I’ve found is to write 2/2 (6/4) in the popover. The only thing left would be to know how to hide just the 2/2. Otherwise, I’ll leave it like this; it’s clearer for the musician…
Or maybe, since I’m doing it anyway, it would be better to write “2/2 / 6/4” instead of “2/2 (6/4)”, or just “(6/4)” if that’s possible? Here we’re already getting into the realm of musical notation.
There’s also the additional problem that Dorico interprets the 6/4 as being longer than the 2/2 because it assumes quarter note = quarter note.
Thank you!
Martí
