I started my current score–which is my first since changing to Dorico–with 2 flutes on one staff, two clarinets on one staff, two and two for horns, etc. using stem directions when they played different notes and a2, 1, or Solo, as appropriate. I will look into going the other way with separate parts and the Condensing command.
Minor consideration: The final score is more important than the audio mockup, but mockups are necessary; so I’ll also want to see which way works better. I’m simultaneously trying to avoid (a) a separate DAW mockup and (b) having a copyist clean up the score.
