I called Tech help for a couple of unresolved problems, preparing each project in advance so that a remote session might help. Unfortunately got Greg again, no help. Not like overwhelmed with calls since each time I’ve called lately, 1st in line.
1st was the fact that the playing the piano keyboard will show activity on midi tracks but not instrument ones. I had been told before to call back when I had such a case and did, but now told that someone else was dealing with that so ‘don’t want to interfere.
Then, shouldn’t I be able to audition Halion songs by clicking them, without having to load. Maybe, maybe not. Reinstall Halion, that I just installed as part of C15. Maybe someone else can tell me how to reinstall if I uninstall.
The question is what do you mean by “shouldn’t I”? Is it technically possible at the moment? No. Would it be nice if it were? Yes.
I guess I had a false memory then, as I thought I did before or saw in a video.
regarding the suggestion to reinstall Halion, that was only installed with C15 about a week ago, I can see how to uninstall it in apps, but where do I go to install again, if I do this?
On Windows there are uninstallers available through the Windows system settings.
I don’t know how it works on Mac.
The uninstall I can do in apps. I just don’t want to do it until I know where it is to reinstall. It came within Cubase 15.
I’m going to be pedantic here:
HALion does not come with Cubase, never has.
HALion Sonic does. But that’s a different instrument, ie not the same instrument.
The download manager.
As already pointed out above. Make sure you install the correct version. Halion sonic is the version included with Cubase. Halion is a pay for version (won’t work without a license).
