2 questions regarding Cubase AI 10 to 10.5 update

Dear fellows,
I’m sorry to bother you with that, but for once Google didn’t help me with my problems:
On my Windows 7 installation I used Cubase AI 10 for a while and could update to 10.5 without problems.
On my new Windows 10 installation I could install and reactivate Cubase 10, but the 10.5 installation tells me that the license is missing.

The installation was put in a diifferent folder than the old one (I left the default values), but if I remember well, it was the same on my Win7 system which worked without the asking for any new license.

Do you have a hint on what I might have done wrong or how I could solve my problem?
Best regards,
Frank

Hi and welcome,

If your license is stored in the Soft-eLicenser, you can use it at one system only. If you want to transfer the license to Windows 10, go thru the Reactivation process, please.

If you want to use your Cubase at both systems, you would need the USB-eLicneser.
