2 x cubase 11 problems

Hi
When I am editing some audio on a track after a while when I try to drag audio it doesn’t move properly, ie, it drags slowly and jerkily and then won’t stay in position. Also, when I click on a cut a portion of the track, the section just moves forward apparently randomly on the track, it just pastes itself about 8 bars ahead. Then it seems impossible to unlock this problem. It is making editing audio impossible. Just weird - never seen anything like this.

  • use the scissor tool to cut up some audio on a track
  • try to move the audio around on the track
  • above problems start

Are you on Mac or Windows, please?

Is it a long Audio file? Is only one Audio event selected, or do you select multiple Audio events at the same time? How many times is the Audio file used in the project?
