So when this happens will we at least get a warning before the world goes dark? Like a week or so?
Can´t say for sure but I am pretty certain there will be announcements all over the place with a decent time frame for last minute users to switch to the new system. That´s in the best interest for both the users and the company.
Nothing is ‘going dark’, your Cubase will still work as long as your dongle does.
They’re just turning on the eLicenser server so now more new licenses or transfers can be done.
Which means, if you plan on upgrading for any sort of discount you better do it now, otherwise there is no more upgrade path from pre Cubase 12 versions anymore and you’re buying a whole new full license again.
I installed and activated C10 on an extra computer just in case my old DAW dies.
