I noticed this quite on a few occasions.
I’m composing a track. ASIO is green at about 50% load, CPU load is 17%… but now that I’m adding a VSTi I get a massive input lag of about half a second, completely unplayable.
Changing buffer sizes doesn’t affect this. Neither CPU or ASIO system is even half loaded. I just have a 30 short audio tracks with sparse plugins, nothing unusual.
Any ideas why this may be happening?
