Dear Community, how can I make visible the rest of the bass part in bar 1 and 2? Notation option hasn’t work for me.
If you’re meaning this rest (circled in red), then you probably need to add an
explicit rest in a new voice.
The manual gives pretty clear instructions (better than I would explain). Just watch out for starts and end voice options to keep more rests from appearing from that point forward.

For this Notation Option to take effect:
…there must be notes in the voice before and after.
To force the rest when it doesn’t show up, set the caret to the bass voice, Shift+B, type rest
