When I enable precount in the Metronome view and press play, the precount doesn’t happen. Instead, the metronome gets muted.

“Precount” enables Metronome only when you start recording (and “Count In” is active too), so after the count-in, Metronome is muted. Just disable Precount if you don’t want that.
Can we have the option to enable count in during playback when not recording as well? I know there is preroll, but it’s useful to have both options, as someone might want to start playback at a specific point without hearing the previous section.
I would also find that very useful. So to speak as a precounter for the playback with a selection of one or two bars.
