First of all, I’m an old user (in more ways than one!). Some here might know me as Swetch, and I’ve posted here for many years.
I’m using a new account and name here because of being inexplicably frozen out with my existing email (and getting no help from Steinberg-US support couldn’t; steinberg in Germany didn’t). I hadn’t accessed the forums since Feb. 2024, and had hoped to relative to questions concerning a new computer purchase and update to 13 Pro. After much frustration, I got the help I’d hoped for in Cubase facebook groups, and finally bit the bullet and am back here again via a newly created 2nd email address and new user name.
I’m here now to share my first new composition and recording in about a year, It was the last thing I did on my old laptop running Cubase 11 Pro prior to the recent computer upgrades and Cubase updating. The recording was finished about 2 weeks ago.
This song features 3 electric guitars, a fretless bass. They all were played through the Line 6 Helix Native plug in. As for the Cubase components, they include the Groove Agent, Halion, and Padshop I had in 11, along with the seemingly left behind Mystic and Prologue that haven’t joined me in my jump to 13. As I’m here again and able to learn these things, is there any way short of my dongle in a usb port of the new computer to access Mystic or Prologue? I do have it there along with Cubase 11, but I’m curious as to whether they can be accessed for a potential new project in 13. Thanks for info on that, and/or any feedback regarding my 3 Sides of a Coin (my bandcamp page is set up for up to 10 plays prior to any prompt for a DL fee).
By the way, anyone checking in on this earlier would not have found the 3 Sides of A Coin track. That’s because this post was on hold until it was reviewed (since I’m a “new” user). When the hold was removed, the post sat here for a little bit before I realized that the track hadn’t been embedded properly. It is here now.
