(3rd Part Issue) Plugins Not Found?

Hi Lars,
There seems to be a problem when loading projects created before the iOS18 update that includes the Addstation AUv3 plugin.
The dialogue box says the three plugins could not be found, but when opening the plugin browser the missing app can clearly be seen, tapping on AddStation launches normally but all original selected presets are gone. Once the three AddStation have been re selected Cubasis launches as normal. I have a number of projects that include the AddStaion that I have not yet opened since iOS18 update because doing so would remove all record of what presets were selected, this app does not respond to midi Program Change messages.
I am not sure if this is a Steinberg issue, I have tried contacting App Support but I can’t find a way of contacting Harry Gos.

Hi @fixitmania53

Normally you should be able to find the contact information of app developers on the App Store app page.

I’d suggest informing Harry about the issue. We’re at hand if required to exchange.

Best,
Lars

Having the same problem here, possibly since the update to Cubasis 3.7, the AUv3 apps have vanished. It knows they’re there, but is unable to load them. Normally what happens, is you double click on the relevant AUv3 app, and it should load, but in this case the selection windows collapses back to the bottom of the screen. If you then click the expand arrow in the bottom left hand corner, it shows the screen in fixitmania53’s post.

You can then see the Factory Presets and My Presets links, but nothing in the right hand window, showing either the instrument or the available presets

Just to see if this was an AUv3 problem with iPadOS 18.2, I reinstalled Cubasis 2, and tried that out. This was fine, double click the AUv3 Instrument and it loads into the right hand window. Back to Cubasis 3.7 and it still has the problem with not being able to load any AUv3 audio instruments.

I’ve got about 60 AUv3 instruments and none of them show up in Cubasis 3.7, but all are fine in Cubasis 2.8.6, AUM, Audiobus 2 and 3, etc…

I have also uninstalled Cubasis 3.7 and reinstalled it, all to no avail.

Current iPad is an 13" M4 pro Cellular + WiFi 2TB, along with iPadOS 18.2. I also gave this a try on my iPhone SE 3 with iOS 18.2 and it did the same thing as well.

I’ll try it out tonight on my other iPad Pro 11", as this has not had Cubasis updated to 3.7 yet. If it works okay, I’ll give an update.

Do you have any ideas what it could be?

I just tried launching various projects and all the AUv3 plugins load as normal except for AddStation. As I wrote earlier, the problem started with iPadOS18.
I have emailed the the developer and I’m now waiting for an answer.

Mine all have to do with loading them as audio Instruments, not Midi. Loading them as MIDI instruments is not a problem.

Ignore me, it’s been a long day. I had not seen the Audio track, and was trying to load an instrument into it. It needs to be a midi track. I guess it would be nice to have a flag that jumps up and says, “Wrong track type.” for tired people like me.

We all have those days sometimes, I’m glad you got sorted in the end.

So, your issue has been resolved, right?

Hi Lars,

Yes it was resolved because it was never really an issue. I made a mistake and thought I was not able to add an AUv3 instrument to a track. I was trying to add them to an Audio track not a MIDI track.

It had been a long day and I was tired and not paying attention. Might be a thing to make Cubasis 3 do the same thing as Cubasis 2, where any AUv3 instrument starts a midi track.

Other than that, no problem.

Thanks

Robert
