(3rd Party Issue) Cubasis 3 and soundbank

In early versions of Cubasis, I could bring sound bank sounds onto a midi track , and they would play.… Cubasis 3 does not seem to allow sound bank instruments on any midi track that I try to import. … What am I doing wrong?**

I am reposting… I meant to say SampleTank instead of sound bank… Can anybody tell me why SampleTank sounds cannot be imported to a midi track in your Cubasis 3

Welcome to the forum.
I have been in constant contact with IK Multimedia ever since SampleTank
stopped working when the iOS18 update was released last September, you can only play the SampleTank’s “on screen” keyboard, but it no longer responds to MIDI from Cubasis 3, it also no longer works with an external MIDI keyboard.
They released a new v2.0.12 update, 5 days ago, one of the lines on the App Store states:

- Fixed an issue where the app wouldn’t recognize incoming MIDI data from an external device on iOS 18

But this hasn’t made any difference to my SampleTank, so I wrote to them again, their response was

this issue is because Inter-App Audio is a Apple feature which they have deprecated

but SampleTank still does not work in Stand-alone mode, so why anyone would still want to buy it is beyond belief, I purchased the app 13 years ago and purchased many sound packs to go with it, I feel robbed!
I thought I was the only one who had this problem, it’s good to know that someone else is having the same issues as me lol.

If I was you, I would contact the developer on the App Store,
Developers Website/SUPPORT/ Contact Support/Mobile Apps/Search FAQ, just add the required information in the drop down boxes and you will have a chance to report your problem, perhaps the more people that complain, the better chance of it being put right.

Thank you Mike…… I thought I was doing something wrong and yes, I purchased all kinds of extra instruments from SampleTank and also feel ripped off because I can’t use them in Cubasis 3… I don’t do any live performances with my SampleTank app and only use them as track creation in my DAW… I certainly will contact the maker
