4/4 displaying as cut common

Dorico 4, Windows.

For reasons I would not like to discuss, I’d like to have a measure which starts with a cut common time symbol but is ‘really’ 4/4 for beaming purposes. How do I achieve that? If I start with 4/4 and hide it, then any other key signature in the same place overwrites the hidden 4/4 (as, I guess, expected); and the ‘common / cut common’ option gives me the common time symbol. Thanks in advance!

If you were ever considering upgrading, this is easy in D5 as it’s a Notation Option:

In D4 I would start with cut common, handle the grouping manually in the first bar, then add 4/4 in the second bar and hide it.
