4/4 Measure has more than 4 beats

Hello!

I have a Dorico SE file that has a measure of 2/4 followed by a measure of 4/4. However the 4/4 measure has an extra eighth note that I cannot seem to get rid of.

I am seeking suggestions to remove this rogue eighth note measure.

If you select the eighth note and press shift-B -1e enter?
