I downloaded and installed this update. Then Dorico disappeared from my computer, the program no longer exists. I did a system restore to before that point. Now Dorico does not load, except for an error message: Skin file " not found!
Not happy …
What to do?
That sounds very unlikely. Are you on Mac or Windows?
When you say it “disappeared”, what do you mean? What was missing?
Have you tried reinstalling it?
“Disappeared” means that the program no longer existed in the program files. The folder was still there, but there was nothing in it. Like I said, I did a (Windows 10) system restore. Now it’s all (presumably) as it was before (without the update), but I can’t start the program because it terminates with the afore-mentioned error. I guess I’ll have to re-install it, which probably means that any changes (re-programmed keyboard shortcuts - are they in some file I could save first? ) will be lost?
Re-installed it (twice, though …). Now it works again.
Beats me why this happened.
Yes, I had the same situation. Installation tells me that it needs to restart computer, restarted and then no old version nor new version found. Then I simply click on Install button, it starts to install without redownloading.
Then on first start play/stop/record buttons wasn’t visible. They was there, but with no icon on them. Flat panel. After restarting computer again, buttons are in place and everything else seems good (except big bugs!)
Sounds like a font cache thing. Restarting sure is always recommended, especially on Windows.
I never reboot efter an update of Dorico or Cubase, unless I am specifically requested to do so. Windows 11.
