A big hooray to this:
‘On Windows, when you reopen a project you have previously been working on, the initial view is now correctly restored, so you are taken directly to where you were last working.’
Since on my machine I was sometimes taken back to the start page even between different views, this is a most welcome fix!
I continue to welcome the bug fix of a fortnight ago, but I now notice that (in my case, at least) it doesn’t cover movement from one part layout to another if I’ve added title pages to the parts. That is, if I’m working on a horn part, leave the display on a bar in the middle of the piece and need to switch to a violin part to check something, if I then switch back to the horn part it displays the title page rather than the bar I was checking.
It seems then that the presence of a title page is the issue.
