Just wondering if there is a simple way to Downmix from 5.1 to Stereo for Export the Downmix as a Stereo File .
I have set up two sets of Groups to do this one set is Stereo the Other 5.1 , but its lots of faders on the screen , and the Downmix in CR works great for the Stereo version , but you can’t export as Stereo
Will using the plugin Mix6to2 help?
If you just route a 5.1 source to a stereo destination it should automatically downmix. So just choose where you want to do the downmixing and then you can set up outputs of different channel-counts, with no hardware outputs selected, and use those outputs as sources in the export mixdown dialog. Makes sense?
Perhaps I’m misunderstanding what you’re asking for.
I think I still need a direct out per Group, which sends to a Stereo Master ,right ? or I can hear a stereo fold down , but there is no way to bounce a Stereo file
so far this is the simplest solution I found .
I’m a bit unclear about what you want to do or what the problem is… if you still have a problem… Anyway, yes, you should get automatic downmix to stereo if you use a direct out from 5.1 to stereo.
