5/4 beaming 8ths and 16ths as 3 + 2 beats instead of 1

I’ve got a 5/4 bar of constant 16ths and for some reason Dorico is beaming the 16ths by 3 beats then 2 beats instead of 1. What’s worse is that it’s not even breaking the secondary beam every beat.

Surely this can’t be the default, so what did I do wrong and how do I fix it?

Dorico struggles a bit with 5/4 (and 7/4 etc.). Just enter the time signature as shift-M [1+1+1+1+1]/4 and it will beam each beat.

EDIT: @ryanpetriello is correct, you can get the beaming you want with notation options>note grouping..

(Yes, it’s a little confusing that beam options are separate from note grouping)

There’s also a setting in Notation Options (I think in the Note Groupings section) that allows you to toggle whether 5/4 is 3+2/4 or 1+1+1+1+1/4 by default.
