Is a bar like 5x2/4 possible with Dorico? If yes, how? (The time signature 2+2+2+2+2/4 takes too much space)
Another question about time signatures: Is a time signature in brackets possible? If not, is this planned for the next update?
- yes, type “[2+2+2+2+2+2]/4” at the Shift M popover.
- yes
for all possibilities check the following PDF:

Thank you for your answer, but both doesn’t work:
If I type “[2+2+2+2+2+2]/4” I get “2+2+2+2+2+2/4” and not 5x2/4.
And brackets I get only by interchangeable time signatures.
Dorico won’t show a time signature like “5x2/4”. I’ve never seen that in a published score, but I’m sure it must be out there – can you tell me any publishers or composers who use this kind of appearance?
You cannot currently put a time signature in parentheses, but this at least is planned for the future.
I have seen it several times, but I cannot remember where. I think about it to use this in a piano score which will be published next year by Donemus.
sorry, I thought you meant something else.
