I’d like to download 6.2. However, it’s not showing up as an update, but is available under regular section. Not like in the past. When launching Dorico it’s showing 6.1.10 as latest version.. Should I just go ahead and download the 6.2 installer?.

Yes. Even if they were presented as “Updates” in the past, they still installed a complete app.
As always, the downloader will not work on my system. I so dread updates and downloads of any kind! A little help from anyone qualified please!
Welcome to the forum. I’d recommend starting a new thread about your problem (to avoid this post going off on a tangent).
Make sure you’ve got the latest version of the Steinberg Download Assistant from Steinberg Downloads page; or you can just install the update from there.
If you still have a problem with the SDA, let us know exactly what OS you’re on; what exactly happens and what doesn’t happen.
Isn’t it always the case that for a few hours (days even at times) after an update Steinberg’s servers are busier than usual (everyone updating at once) and so it can be difficult to get in the queue?
