+1: many times in CE 5. I hear it’s the same in 6. Some things never change.

this is different to hanging on exit ,this actually gives you a "program has stopped working " dialog box which wasn’t present in the 6.5 so i hope steiny will sort it out !

Ah, missed what you meant, sorry. What exatly are you doing when this happens? Any plugs loaded? Does this happen in an audio only project? Have you tried trashing your prefs?
