Been away a long time, but back for a visit. After originally posting this thread, I bought a SPL 2380 used and it’s been working like a champ. However, it definitely crackles occasionally and I have to jiggle the buttons to get a good contact sometimes. Not optimum, I know, but it’s been getting the job done for what I’m doing (mainly mixing my own productions, as I’m a picture editor by day).
Now I’m wondering if the new UR28M will replace all my gear and do away with the flaky connections in the SPL? Seems I can do my 6 discreet outs, with one nicely centered volume controller, no? Might be time to put the Fast Track Ultra, the SPL 2380, and the DB25 cable on eBay.
