When folding down 7.1 to 5.1, is there any way to set the Lss and Rss speakers to split 50/50 between the front and rear speakers of a 5.1? Right now, when folded down to 5.1, a 7.1 signal originally set to the sides-only (or 50/50 between the front and rear of the room) will now be panned 100% to the rear of a 5.1 system.
I realize MixConvert V6 can adjust the Lss and Rss levels, but this still doesn’t fix the “broken” panning on fold-down. Seems to me there should be a way to have Lss and Rss signals represent the “middle” of the room…
New to Nuendo and >5.1 mixing, so any tips would be appreciated! Thx!
