*Make sure your Anti Virus isn’t messing with anything.

Also, re-download and reinstall…if you have to.
I remember something like that happened to me where it kept telling me something and it was not installing.

Thanks for the reply mate. I got it to install using the msi file directly.

hey,

i have the same problem on a windows 8.1 pc

can’t install the cubase 8.5 update

dunno how to solve this problem :frowning:
got no answer yet from the steinberg support

got exactly the same thing when I attempted install on a slave machine running WIndows 10

The Cubase85_64bit.msi was the only way to successfully do it on the windows 10 machine.

Windows 7x64 was fine with the normal installer though.

Definitely another issue for Steinberg to look at!..oh dear.
