8.5 pro can't change sample editor background color

hi all,

cubase 8.5 pro on win7 x64. i am trying to change the background color of the sample editor. i go to the usual place preferences appearance etc, change the colors in editors, apply, restart cubase, no change. this should work shouldn’t it? i’m sure i did it before. changing colors for project windows works no problem.

Probably you need to initialize prefs, I imagine. Look up Cubase Troubleshooting on the Steinberg website.

looks like it only changes the other editors, not the sample editor. bummer.
