About two weeks ago I began hearing a soft pulsing effect in my output audio. Not a click as with a metronome, rather a slight 8th pattern pulsing. I am assuming that I have activated something as this is new. There are no visual indicators of the source. How do I remove this pulse?
Does it happen even when playing back just a single stave?
Yes. Even when playing just one stave at a time.
Is this pulsing sound also included in audio you export from Dorico? If so, please export a short excerpt and upload it here.
If it’s not included in audio export, then it’s not part of Dorico’s playback, and must be coming from somewhere else. Do you only hear the pulsing while Dorico is playing back, or do you hear it at all times? Do you hear it in any other applications?
Are you able to choose a different sound output device in Edit > Device Setup? If you do, do you still hear the pulsing sound?
I found a Solution: Looking through setup, I found I had checked “Generic Low Latancy ASIO”
I switched it to “Steinway Built-in ASIO driver” and the pulse is gone with everything seeminly working fine.
Good - but weird.
