9.5.1 crash

Just downloaded the 9.5 update. Opened a project and made a couple quick changes, went to save and it crashed, not saving the changes. On a macbook with Yosemite. Do I need to update the OS? Its been working fine so far with 9.0…

Did it crash as soon as you clicked on the menu? I’ve been seeing that recently. I dropped back from 64 bit engine mode to 32 bit, which seems to have improved things.

I think I actually clicked save pretty quick, so hard to tell if it was that or just opening the menu. I will try again tonight. mc

Only crashed after I hit save. I will try to update to high sierra and see if that fixes it.

updated to high sieera and still crashing when trying to save.

I’m not a Mac user, but have you read this?

It might also be a rogue plug-in.

thanks for the links, I am updated in all software and OS and have no blacklisted plugs. Still crashing. Good thing I still have 9 to use as 9.5 is unusable for me.

I have a very similar ongoing issue but it might buy you some time to make changes. (32 bit/64)
When I start up Cubase 9.5 pro-all with updated drivers and using the steinberg UR242-
If I disconnect the UR242 cubase 9.5 seems to work fine, will stay open - but as soon as the Daw is reconnected 9.5 crashes.
i have tried making the bit rate changes and lots of others too but it has made no difference to my set up.
hope this helps you a little bit.

Does it still crash with Cubase 9.5.30? If yes, share the crash dump file, please.
