A 7 tuplet

My learned colleagues, how can this be implemented?

My colleague has hit with with this once before!

How about a 21:10 (sixteenth) tuplet?

If you want the tuplet number as shown you might have to add this as a custom bracket.

If you need the 7, you can enter a 7:5e, and inside it, a 21:28y:

Maestro.

Please remind me where in the manual I can find the note duration abbreviations (what is ‘y’?) I can never locate the page.

It’s in the Popover Reference (probably somewhere in the manual as well):

I’ve held onto it by thinking; “X in siXteenth, then just keep going (Y, Z) to get smaller.” :slightly_smiling_face:

21:10 gives me this:

Not right is it?

It should be 21:20y. It will allow you to enter 7 dotted 16ths (i.e. 21 32ds) in the space of 5 eighths (i.e. 20 32ds)
